From a "yachtie" to an award-winning author...
Blair is from Richmond, Virginia but spent much of her childhood off the coast of Wilmington, North Carolina where she developed a passion for life at sea. Her love of nature, the ocean, and relating to others led her to work for Global Expeditions Group for over a decade. Blair has lived and traveled all over the world, following her desire to explore, meet new people, and immerse herself in new cultures. She is a wife, dedicated mother to two beautiful girls, Collegiate Hall of Fame athlete, a 200-ton yacht master captain, and a PADI scuba diving instructor. Blair has shared her talents through sailing, scuba, and marine conservation courses in the British Virgin Islands, Phuket, Thailand, the Bahamas, North Carolina, and now in Virginia. Her incredible imagination and love of teaching has brought Blair to realize her dream of writing stories for children inspired by her exciting global adventures.
A little more about Blair… You know that BRAVO TV show Below Deck? That was her life when she worked on the big yachts. She was a female deckhand on a really big boat named M/Y Peaceful Fish. She was also a Chief Stewardess and Private Dive Instructor on a gorgeous sailing yacht named S/Y Yanneke Too in Phuket, Thailand. Her life on yachts is where she fell in love with her husband, Sam. She also found herself on the sea and gained the confidence to chase her dreams... ALWAYS.

The above photos were taken all over the world. Williamson loves to travel... a lot. And with her kids! Working for Global Expeditions Group for twelve years provided her with some incredible experiences as a family. Many of their greatest memories are made when they take their kids sailing in Tortola for weeks at a time during the Summers with GXG. The Williamson girls have been (almost) every year since they were born. Tortola and the British Virgin Islands are very special to them and are the inspiration for many creative stories.
